let me ask .. i also shoot a moss. 835 and still use stock choke. so the question is how big a different's has the after market chokes made. not that i'm bashing the chokes but i have killed many turkeys with stock choke and wonder if it's worth the money

Most shooters see a pretty dramatic improvement but having said that, if your combination is working well for you, there may be no reason whatsoever to make a change.

Now I haven't shot one of the new Colonial Arms Star Dot .676 xtra full turkey chokes.  But I was told by the owner, Betty McDonald on the phone about 2 yrs ago or so that the xtra full chokes they are making now are about identical for internal dimensions as the original Star Dot chokes they made for Highlander Sports.  Myles on here has one and he said it looks to be about identical from the inside as his original Star Dot choke.  I think he told me it mics at .676 at the end.  He said he has yet to shoot it since he now shoots a 20GA mostly. 

But I would say Betty will stand behind that choke if your not happy and offer you a refund.

Exactly.  That's the nice thing about the 835.  Finding a good shell to go with the stock choke isn't too difficult.

again i'm not bashing aftermarket chokes and if shooting is your thing than yeah i see messing around and maybe getting better pattern for longer shots but worry now ppl shooting and wounding birds. so with that said if your pattern says at 40 yrds you can kill a turkey then maybe time better spent is practicing calling and better setups.
