Hevi Shot was absolutely sold at the convention Friday. I think it was Macks Prarie Wings booth and there was a Hevi Shot rep there. I was there at about 5:00 and they were about out. They also were letting people fill out the rebate forms there and sending it in form them. You could also get $10 off per box, as many boxes you wanted to buy, and if they didn't have the size you wanted they gave you a coupon with NWTF stamped on it to order it when you got home and I think this was with shipping paid.

They must have put a hault to it quick because they sure would not sell any yesterday at all, but my point really is if Winchester was still producing xtended why didn't they have them there for advertising?

I bought a few boxes at about 4:15 yesterday afternoon.  They didn't have much left.
Hope the 3-2-7's work for me.

Also, Winchester did have some empty boxes of extended range over there to look at, but they weren't selling.

Hmmmm. Why boxes of 5?  Seriously?  It wasn't until recently that I didn't have to worry about Ammo prices. New choke or two. $65-150
Now Ammo:  Hevi-shot $50 for 10.
HvyWt  $50+for 10   Now I want to try 6's and 7's
You still got the math?
We are up to $350. Did it pattern well? 
That's why 5 shells are appealing to the Avg. turkey hunter.
Many of you guys are not average.

You prolly aren't either - the average turkey hunter probably rolls with lead instead of HTL and puts it through a factory xtra full.

My God you all sound like a bunch of old ladies crying over some yarn that was discontinued at your local craft store. Sure seems to be a whole lot of speculation going on even after the Winchester Rep even told one of you all that they weren't going to discontinue the load. Instead of crying about it here why don't you put your concerns in an email and send it to Winchester or better yet, call them. Good God give it a break and stop your crying already.

This is your 2nd post in this thread saying so...

Point is, if you would go back and read various other threads from the past months, you would know that numerous e-mails and calls have been sent to Winchester. They still stand by their story, yet there are none to be had and turkey season is approaching very soon. Some guys want to shoot them and they want to start patterning soon. If guys have to switch up what they've shot for years, it requires time at the board and maybe a change in chokes and it takes time to do that. That's all.

Instead of getting on here and pokin at people, why dont you go out and find a hearty supply of xrhd to suppy everyone on this board that needs some.....we'll wait......

I don't believe anyone is crying. BowBendr just explained to you what has been done by many forum members on here in response to Winchesters lack of information regarding this particular shell.
People put alot of time and money into patterning their shotguns, and the last thing they want to hear is that a particular shell that they have gotten dialed in, is no longer in production. For many, it means starting all over-not much fun.
So what you are mistaking for whining and crying are just people voicing their frustrations among their friends.

My local store has a ton of 3" #5 i bought all the 3" #6s they still have 6 or 7 boxes of 3-1/2 #6s. Ill start buying them upi imagine

I've bought hevi at the convention every year for the last 4. This year was no different, Macks Prairie Wings had it this year with a $10 rebate on as many boxes as you bought not just two. The last few years hevi had a booth they were selling from. Also bought some fed HW from a different booth.

I sure hope the rep is correct. However, just my opinion, but keep in mind that it's the husband that is the last to know his wife is cheating. My money is on that extended range is gone.
