I've read that shimming only effects the relation of the stock to rest of the gun and would not help if the barrel is shooting high.
Quote from: Fieldturkey on March 12, 2018, 01:41:44 PMThe shims will help a gun fit a person when wing shooting. It will not change the poi if the barrel shoots high. That cannnot be changed by shim. they have nothing to do with where the barrel shoots.
Quote from: JABBO100 on March 12, 2018, 11:37:13 AMIMHO there's no way shimming will change the poi UNLESS the shooter did not have both beeds aligned(sbe3). If the barrel is bent or whatever, the only thing that will/should compensate for that is to move the poa.
