My buddy said he used to carry a shovel around in the bed of his truck during turkey season.  He would stop at a likely spot and slam the head of the shovel into one of the pine trees.  Dong!!!!!!!!!!

Ditto.. these are my two staples.. I use a Haydel Crow and tune it to be high pitched.. I also carry a pileated woodpecker.. have had them answer that when nothing else will work..

But they will gobble at just about anything loud sometimes.. car horn, air horn, truck door slamming.. and especially thunder cracking

Truck door slamming!  That old turkey didn't know at the time but he saved a little boy. Meaning me at the time from some harsh words that morning! lol
