Wood choice for strikers?

I could go in the woods with just yellowheart, purpleheart and macasar ebony these get about 90% of playing time in the woods

Will second this choice as well. Have to remember, that each call sounds different with each type of wood striker you use. You will find that some sound very high pitched vs others. What sounds awesome to my ears might not to yours. Personal choice all the way here.

Black locust and tulipwood. If it won't run with one of those, I'm probably not carrying it. Not real certain why I've got 9 strikers in the vest (probably because there's that many sleeves in there) but those are the two I reach for the most.
