Del crow (zebrawood) and mike battey make some killer slate calls. Mike battey is overlooked. Hunter22 turned me on to that one!!

IMHO.
Mike Yingling on here, makes some pot calls that will run with the best of them.
Reasonable price also.

Absolutely. I've got several of Mike's calls and everyone of them are full of turkey. His slate is the best I've ever ran, period. My Sneed hot hen runs a very, very close second when talking slate but I still give the edge to Mike.

Facebook Mike Battey. I contacted him and bought a call. Recieved it the same week. Don't think he is making trumpets anymore

My two favorites right now are the hot hen by sneed and the red hen by schaffer. I need to order one of mikes really like his copper.

I want to also add Lonnie Mabry to this list.  His regular walnut slate is always in my vest.

I just got a walnut slate from Lonnie this weekend it's definitely gonna be in the vest this coming spring
