Did you run the plan terra grapplers before the G2 ?

I've also had luck with with Terra Grapplers on my diesel...Going to need some tires for the tacoma sometime.

I rotate the tires every time I get an oil change (every 3000 miles). Alignment is good too.

No. I ran Cooper AT3's and Hankook Dynapros. The Hankooks were great tires and were still on my last truck when I traded it. The Coopers wore uneven and were awful in the mud. The guy that runs a local tire business talked me into the Terra Grappler G2's. He said he hasn't had any complaints at all out of that tire. He speaks highly of the Toyo Open Country tires as well.

What do you mean "wear weird"?

odds are any unevenness probably won't be a tire issue, more than likely it is mechanical.  The composition of the tire will make some last longer than others, but all good tires should wear evenly (across the tread)

I agree.  9 out of 10 times, uneven or irregular is due poor rotation schedule or some mechanical issue.  There are always some tires (all brands) that wear great on certain vehicles and not so great on others.  We had an SUV tire in the Cooper that was always a soft, quiet ride, but you could guarantee that on certain vehicles they wouldn't get 25,000 to 30,000 miles.  Though it took a little too long for them to respond in my opinion, they fortunately are phasing it out and have a replacement about to hit the market.

My most recent set of tires is from Mastercraft and so far they seem to be performing better than comparable tires I have tried in the past.  I hunt a lot in country that will tear tires to shreds,...lots of sharp, lava rock and thorn-covered bushes,...and the Mastercraft's are holding up surprisingly well,...knock on wood....

I have Hankook Dynapro ATMs on my F150 now and there are wearing great. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Toyo Open Country ATII Extreme. Run em on a a 9,000 lb Excursion and they are quiet, pretty good bite in mud, tough as nails on off-road gravel and last as good as any. I've worn out several sets of Coopers, Hancooks, BF Goodrich and Firestone all terrain tires from 285-17's to 35x12.50-20's. Toyo is my fave.

I like Kenda Klever M/T.  You can get a set of 4 in 10 ply 285-75/r16, 285-70/r17, 265's, for under $550 where I live...  They only last about 25-35k miles
