Also anyone polished a benelli barrel? Is that something that needs to be done? Does roberts do this as well?

Lengthening the forcing cone can be beneficial and can help to even out a pattern. I've had barrels ported and can see no advantage to patterns or to reducing recoil/muzzle jump. Benelli barrels are chrome-lined, all that's necessary or helpful is a good "deep cleaning" and I do recommend that.I have just one recommendation. Prior to having any work done, deep clean the bore and see how that affects your patterns. For many shooters over the years, it has been all that's needed to really improve the patterns those guns shoot. Benelli makes such a reliable gun that many hunters and shooters never thoroughly clean the bores. The chrome-lined barrel can look clean, even when it's quite dirty. A dirty Benelli barrel won't pattern as well as a clean one in most situations. You can give it a try, it takes very little money, just a little time and perhaps save yourself a good bit of money. Thanks,Clark
