Quote from: nickp on March 26, 2014, 09:53:28 AMI use a Jellyhead .665 in my 870 with 28" barrel and get amazing patterns with the 3 1/2" #5's as well as my cousins who tried the 3" #5's in the remington turkey choke (hevi shot rated). They also shot just as good in my gun through a Truglo gobble stopper .665 and old undertaker .675. I will say that my cousin did try a remington choke that had straight rifling and the patterns were still good, but nowhere near the others.

Quote from: darn2ten on March 27, 2014, 11:38:45 AMLongshanks, I shot with a guy that was testing these shells out last Friday. He had older 870 with a 30" barrel and a Kick's .665. Shot the 3" LB 5's and the pattern was real good. We didn't count any numbers but my Browning does around 200 in 10 at 40 and that combo was every bit as impressive.

What choke is that?I have no idea what choke it is. I've had it for over 20 years. Maybe someone can look at my picture and tell. Looks like Hastings Ported..the writing on it is identical to my Hastings non ported .665. Not sure.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Looks like Hastings Ported..the writing on the choke, knotches at the top and the color are identical to my Hastings non ported .665. Could be Carlson also. Someone on here will know what it is I bet.Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkI was thinking it was a Hastings, too.
