Just wondering if you guys have any input on the primos tightwad choke with an 870 shooting Winchester HV? On a budget so I need to get the best choke I can for under $30.

IMO the best turkey choke for 870's under $30 for lead is the Remington Ventilator. Its a great choke and shoot killer lead patterns, Do a search for it on the forum and you will find many positive results.

I'm going to run one this year in one of my 870's

Just ordered a Remington Ventilator. I'm going to get a tightwad just to compare with. I like trying different combinations anyway. Thanks for the input!

No prob, I was very surprised since my SM only got 101 hits with HV 6's....funny, I went smaller shell and bigger shot.  Longer barrel really helps the patterns out.  I just cant see $250 for a longer barrel when I can buy another gun for that almost.

Shot my new ventilator choke tube in my rem. sm 12gauge today for the first time and I got 149 holes in a 10 inch circle at a measured 40 yards using win. supreme  3 1/2 "  2 1/4 oz shot  #  6.  I'll take that.

I just shot my tightwad .660 through my 870 with mag blends and got 218 in the 10/40 yards. Just 5 more pellets more than my ssx, and I have the gun dialed in for the ssx. The tightwad through a slightly right pattern. Not a big difference considering one is .643 and other is .660

I know you already purchased yours but for others reading the Jelly Head in a .660 patterns very well on my unit and many recommend this choke as well.  Cost was $34 at midwest the other day so very close to the $30 budget.

 I've got a 870 tactical that will do 140 at 40 with a titewad and Remington nitro 3-1 7/8-5 and 130 with Winchester grey box 3-1 7/8-5
