Quote from: Tom007 on April 28, 2023, 07:05:40 PMI'm hunting southern NY. The weather looked real bad for the past week, but it now changed. Partly cloudy, 10-15 mph winds. I hope this is true, I'll deal with that for sure....
Quote from: worth612000 on April 28, 2023, 07:20:34 PMI might just leave my camera stuff at home and enjoy the start of the season myself. I know that stuff adds up in cost. But anyways the best of luck, hope you get one in your first 15 min and head home for a hot cup of coffee and donuts. (3 word game) LOL

Quote from: Greg Massey on April 28, 2023, 09:19:28 PMSteve, the moment you have that gobbler in range your pain level will cease as the adrenaline will take over, trust me and take the shot and get your gobbler flopping on the ground... The accomplishment of all your hard work and practicing has all come together in that moment of joy.. nothing like it ... IMO

IMO I know bud, but it is the taking it out that is where I hurt and cleaning after. I found I got just as stoked and excited last year photographing them as I did drawing up on one. I had so many chances last year and simply did not take one. When I had my accident and thought I would never hunt turkey again I begged God to let me get just one, he did and I am fine if I never get another, I truly am. I want to get some good pictures, maybe sell a few, get better gear and take more pictures. If that copper from last year shows up and I am not hurting I will take him for sure, other than that who knows.
