Progress report.. I'm on too an another new spot, in another zone. I've done a little scouting and it looks pretty good. The weather will be superb, I will be out the next two days looking for an upgrade. More to follow

Today I wasn't Lol! It was a rough day, but a great hunt. I chased this one bird around all day 5 different setups he whooped my butt! I thought I was golden. He gobbled at everything I gave him. He wouldn't commit. Tomorrow is another day. More to follow.

Another close call.  He gobbled maybe 4/5 times on the roost and flew down late.  We slipped in pretty tight. He answered  to some of my light tree calls. Mocked a flap down, sat and waited. He clucks a few times and glides down and gobbles passing the set up.. I give him some soft yelps... I love you, I love you. He gobbled once and clams up. 30 minutes pass. A few deer feed into the set up. A beautiful sight it was. In unison they all look back, he gobbles! 6 hens emerge and  filter into this set up all in shooting range. I'm thinking WE'RE golden here! Pumped with excitement. Mr. Big shows up! Full strut. Saying to self we got him this time. He  takes the long way around us walks 60 yards out in full strut. Linking up with the hens after they passed. They were on our lap, a great hunt it was. I may not be able to get out the rest of the week.

Well it looks like I may be finished now fellas. There is a week left, I'm not sure if I can get out. I just got home from Pa and NY. Great hunt in NY with great action. Pency were the tough hunts, very little gobbling with coyotes fisher cats visiting our set ups. I'll check back when I confirm.. Down the road.
