What's the value these days.

Original bottomland/Greenleaf 870 - 26/21  inch barrels with original sling going between 1100 and 1500 I have seen. 1187 21 inch barrel Greenleaf, bottomland between 1200 and 2000. These prices have gone crazy since Remington went chapter 11. Getting real tough to find......hope this helps...these numbers are for guns in very good condition. Unreal

It's the 870 with no rib and rifled sights and takes a REM Choke. 21in barrel. I'd say good shape. Has been hunted with but not beat up

Looks like the Big Game model. They are sought after. If you can get a hold of that one, you should. They go well north of 1000 on most sites. Pretty rare. Best of luck....

FL-Boss

Nice 1100 and 870 SP in original bottomland and/or greenleaf fetch over 1K...some up to 2K.  The issue is, some sellers are getting regular standard Remingtons and dipping them,  selling them as original guns.  Just make sure it's a "SP" model... and looks close especially the ones that are "greenleaf"

This one is mine and it's not dipped

You are dead on here. I have seen a couple Greenleaf that are advertised as original that look too "bright". Might have been dipped later on. Is hard to imitate the Old Bottomland, and Trebark. No one can duplicate the old Trebark....

Great  gun, it looks like an original. Can't duplicate that look. Congrats....

For the amount y'all say it's worth I'm gonna try

Best of luck, remember, that sling alone sells for big money. I know it's crazy, but a gun dealer told me last week that he saw one sell for 400 bucks. Crazy, but the old school Remington owners want the original sling.

He is talking about an 11/87 or 870 Sps Bg
Which is the Big Game model designation.

The Remington 870 Sps BG camo guns had a 20" barrel
The 11/87 Sps BG camo guns were 21" barrels
Both were introduced in 1994 and discontinued in 1996.
