i have 2 of the longs and a short. they really are great holsters. i would've carried boxes long ago had i had one of these

I'm guessing these just have a belt loop for attaching to your vest/person? Wondering how to make it work on a row of PALS like on a RNG vest?

Yes.  The holsters are designed to be used on a belt up to 1 3/4" wide.

As far as attachment to a PALS grid...........best way I could maybe suggest would be to punch a row of holes along each side of the holster and lace it in with paracord or similar.

If their pals is true to spec. I've had a few China made packs that didn't adhere to standard spacing.
