Hypothetical question

nd if the state regulations state 1 bird per day, can you shoot a bird on one side, cross over and kill a bird on the other side, and carry both birds back to your truck legally (assuming you have proper licenses and stamps for both states)?

I thought about this one. Both states gave electronic check in. I can check it in immediately as long as I have cell service. I always make it a point to check it as soon as I fill the field tag out.

Around here and I assumed everywhere else there's a certain distance "over state lines" where you can kill game and tag for your home state. I think it's maybe 3 miles but just a guess so I think if your licensed in both its shooters choice????

Idk guys I'm not for sure that'd even be legal. I'd ask a Co in both states not the forum. That's just me but no ones chipping in for your fine

I am sure checking in for the state they were hunted and killed in is the right call.My only question was where a hunter is in one state and the quarry is killed in another. I have licenses for both states so no worries there.

I would  tag it in whichever states season was ending the soonest or I had the most tags for.

I used to have this dilemma with state lines and rivers and such.  I would shoot a bird in one state while in another and end up being more confused about what to do than I normally am.

So I did some "guzintas" (if you don't know what those are, ask Ronnie), and calculated exactly where the state line would be in the center of the river.  Then I "extrapolated" an imaginary vertical line above that.  After that, all's I had to do was call any gobbler 'til he flew across the river.  When he reached that imaginary state line in the air, I would shoot him,...in flight, of course, cuz I am just that good.

That way I could say I shot him in either state,...legally, of course.  I then do more guzintas and figure out which state tag I should use.  The only problem I have found with my "system" is that sometimes I pass out from doin' all those guzintas and thinking.

Yeah...... I didn't have any college edgemacation. I will just try and keep both feet planted in the same state as the turkey and take it from there. I still can't figure out why tss is a national emergency so obviously I ain't to quick on the uptake.

Yeah, me neither.  But then again, I get 742 pellets in a 10" circle at 60 yards with #2 lead.   ;D :toothy12: :toothy9: :angel9:
...Oh NO!,...You didn't...  (just kidding fellas,...don't get the snoods all knotted up...)

My snood is already in a knot. And thrown over my shoulder so I don't trip over it.
Hey if I am gonna lie I might as well go all out. :)

As your question suggested up front, we are dealing in "hypotheticals" here.  Personally, I had always heard that snoods would get longer with age,...but I have unfortunately not found that to be the case.   :toothy12: :toothy9: :toothy12: :TooFunny:

No, I know the difference,...and my wattles are definitely getting longer,...my snood, not so much.
On a side note, there was a time not so long ago that my snood would start thinking for itself and keep me from doing important stuff like going turkey hunting.  That rarely never happens any more. After all these years, me and my snood have finally come to our senses.  (I suspect you younger guys probably don't understand) :toothy9:

I am sorry,
I don't turkey hunt after dark so it hasn't been an issue for me. Now I know why you like your locator calls so much. It's probably like a game of Marco polo. No wonder the old folks home is eying you up.
