Do you recommend the 3 or 8moa dot on FFlll?

Also, if you ever wanted to put the sight on another gun that may require more precision the small dot would be better.  Not to throw a wrench in the works but have you looked at the vortex.  The vortex shares the same footprint as the burris but has several more light intensity settings.  The one thing that I dont care for on the burris that it only has 3 settings and dont always fit differing lighting situations well.  Good luck

I will check it out, but big plus for the Burris is the speed bead mount, does Vortex offer any mounting options like that?

I'll check it out.  A big plus for the Burris is the speed bead mount, does Vortex offer anything like that?

The previous poster mentioned Vortex.  I have a Vortex Sparc II, and highly recommend.  It has a 2 MOA dot and I wouldn't want bigger than that.  Close in, say 20 yds or less I can get really accurate, which aids for tight shooting choke/loads.  The sparc has 10 levels of brightness.  If you want to see proof why it's probably the toughest red dot out there, check out this : http://www.recoilweb.com/vortex-sparc-ii-the-dot-that-would-not-die-67267.html

Here is the best pic of the dot I could get, if it's helpful. Click on picture to see it bigger.  At 40 yds, it is great too. I've had a small sight like the fastfire, and like this better.  Hope this is helpful.

I have the 8....had the 4 in the II, and just didn't want it to be any smaller...

The 8 is very good for me in low light, much better than the 4 was...

The 8 is a tad big, especially at full power, but I still prefer it over the 3....

More of my shots are in low light, so I would buy the 8 again...especially given that the brightness is adjustable...

I bought the 3 moa and it's been phenomenal. Plenty easy to see. Precise...The brightness settings are great. The auto brightness setting takes care of pretty much everything and the other great qualities of this reflex sight make it one of the best, in my opinion. Light weight. Unobtrusive. Durable. And the warranty...Great addition to any turkey gun!

Warne makes a nice small mount for the SBE II. You'll need to drill and tap one hole. Those receivers can be REALLY hard, depending on when it was made (early ones harder) so a good smith is in order...The Burris 336 mount is the lowest you'll find but it's quite a bit longer. You can raise the comb by getting the medium height riser from Benelli. They're pricey but make a nice installation.

Smaller dot in my opinion.  Someone else mentioned Vortex, and I'd highly recommend.  I have the Vortex Sparc II, it has a 2MOA dot and I can get really accurate close in, and it's perfect at 40.  Attached is best pic I could get of the dot.  Click on to see bigger.  The Sparc has 10 brightness levels.  If you want to see how tough it is, check this out: http://www.recoilweb.com/vortex-sparc-ii-the-dot-that-would-not-die-67267.html

I've had a reflex sight with a larger dot and didn't like how it covered the target further out.  Hope this is helpful. Good luck!

I have the 8 on my 20GA rig, and I really like it.

Vortex posted this on their Facebook today. Looks perfect! Is it April 1st already?

According to the Vortex website their Venom sight is compatible with the Burris Speed Bead, that plus an unconditional warranty makes them a pretty attractive option.

That was quite a test, thanks for the link.  I don't really intend to do any of those things to my sight so I guess it should last me forever.
