Thank u sir. Right now, that's the plan. So long as I can navigate out west, don't much care about the local hunting right now. Will know more next Wednesday once I see the surgeon again but we're both hopeful.

Glad the surgery went well. Im in the same boat right now. Mid july I blew my L4/L5, buldged L5/S1 with beginning spinal stenosis MRI confirmed. Horrendous pain all the way down the leg. Numb shin, numb foot. Big toe didnt work at all. Spent many days at the chiro and PT. Pain is manageable no and got strength back in my foot but the pain is still there. Some days worse than others. Pain still radiates down the leg to the shin/calf some times. Still nagging pain in the back. Have an appointment with the neurosurgeon on the 24th. Hoping to avoid surgery at least til after hunting season. Sucks going from normal 1 day to pain every day and not being able to do the things you used to. Kinda depressing at first but starting to get back on track. It doesnt seem like theres an end in sight without the discectomy but they said its a slow process recovering from a disc injury. I know your pain. Prayers sent.

Brother, if your surgeon is worth anything at all, he'll make the right call. Mine did for certain. If they say do it, get it done. Trust me, u'll feel a ton better real fast. Pain disappeared immediately. Now, waiting for the surgery stuff to heal, that's a different story. Take a bit longer but it's way better than the pain in your leg, I promise. As for trying to go the chiropractor/PT route, once you get to a certain point, it's useless. And mine got there quickly. Listen to your body and your doctor. They'll get you straightened out. Good luck and keep me posted.

Will do. Like i said. Pain is manageable throught the day, but the first 45 minutes of my day suck. Once up and moving im almost..ALMOST pain free. But sitting for periods of time get the pain back into the leg, so i try to stay mobile as much as possible. Still limited on lifting and quick movements, maybe im just scared, but that initial pain when the injury happened will definitly make you think twice about every move you make after that.
