Tail Feathers

Just got back for a big WMA in an early opening southern state (we don't name them anymore do we? :))
I saw more ebikes than ever, and I've been going about 11 years.
Love to hunt the King of Spring!

When US government stated that class 1 e-bikes were considered non motorized vehicles (even though they have a motor) it was just a matter of time before everyone had em

Now. I don't really care . There's places I'd love to have one , and I may one day.... But I hate seeing posts defending technology and using veterans and handicapped folks as a crutch......that ain't the folks buying e-bikes

You might want to read my post again.  You're putting words in my mouth.

I'm not calling vet or handicapped folks lazy.... And I understand you aren't using them as crutch excuse yourself .... But you quoted the "lazy bums" post ... and used the what you said as these aren't lazy bums example .... All I'm saying is the e-bikers I typically see aren't of that category ...

Interesting. I wasn't aware of that.  Regardless, most public land areas (at least around here) have specific regulations that delineate what is legal and what is not. Public-land users would be wise to check those regulations wherever they may venture.

Then again, also around here, there seems to be very little effort being made to enforce those regulations where they exist. It seems even when someone is caught, they get the proverbial "slap on the wrist" which generally means they will be back at it again as soon as the supposed "enforcement agent" is out of sight.

I don't understand the mindset. It was "getting away from crowds" when few would put forth the effort, but now it no longer is

All E-Bikes are doing to public land is turning most every square inch into "road hunting"

Having disabilities is one thing and I'd welcome that, but the lazy newbie "Fadsters" are getting ridiculous.

And yes Jbird, 2000 acres is really not all that big. If you had to walk a mile in, what would it really take? 15-20 minutes?? Man, what a journey

It won't be very long and the masses will only leave the house to make a hunt after their cell cam sends them a picture of game. Then they'll jump in their cyber truck, with an e-bike attached to the back, and head to the woods to "go get em" lol

I don't ride an e-bike, but I do ride an xr450R dirt bike at times. Way faster than an e-bike, and can go way way back in.

Some guys will use whatever it takes to justify their laziness.  "What about the handicap? What about those long walks/opening up opportunities? If it's legal, who cares? Well I got a buddy who rides and he has more problems out of walkers."

The VAST majority of guy using these things are less than 40, in good health, and fully capable.

Like most cases nowadays, the majority of hunters probably dislike the idea of e-bikes.  Problem is there is a loud minority who would blow an absolute gasket if the govt did what is right and removed the status of an e-bike as non motorized.

Greedy with a dash of laziness.  Couple that with some instagram like and a full fan for reaping...you got you a certified E-bike rider!!!
This year is going to suck!!!

arkrem870

They should have never been considered non motorized. That's idiocy.....but they are and I own/use one regular. It's saves me time and time is $$
