For me it would be bloodwood (box lid, scratch box striker, trumpet) and poplar (box, scratch box, pot).

Great topic, I really just started expanding my calls.  I prefer pots and trumpets.  My favorite wood for strikers is hickory and persimmon.  Regarding trumpets, my best sound comes from an Osage trumpet but my pink ivory trumpet takes the beauty contest top prize.

 Definitely cedar and walnut for me, that would suck though. It would be a good way to control my buying urges though ????
