Can some one that has one post a picture of it please,            I also had no clue this gun existed, are these similar to the late 90's 12ga guns that are so popular?" I have one of them in M.O Bottomland" and i love it BUT I carry my little 870 20ga 90% of the time.

It was a Remington 870 sps-t 20ga.

I held one, they were offered 2/3years.

Camo iron sights new camo not the green leaf or bottomland.

The one I held was back in early 2000s, $579.99 since it was a special turkey model. Very nice guns extremely rare.

Wish I had one, it would rival a Winchester sxp longbeard of today.

But they were dedicated turkey guns way before there time reason they are dough after.

I wouldn't sell mine for anything. Best money I ever spent. Took me awhile to find but worth it.

I mentioned this on here last year... there are 870 turkey barrels out there with sights in 20 gauge.  I snagged one last year.  Have to hunt for them a bit but they are there.  I know most of the guys accessorize theirs a little more in the sight dept but figured I'd mention it again for those that like traditional iron style sights.

There are some on gunbroker now.

So whats special about these?  Looks just like my supermag, except it has iron sights, which i have no use for.

They were one of they early true 20ga turkey guns. Remington made it as a dedicated setup for turkeys. They were priced high at the time compared to other 20s. And I don't think they were very successful. Since they've been discontinued. So they are in the category as Greenleaf or original bottomland guns. Just a collectors piece for 20ga turkey hunters. That is very practical and useable.

Are these factory Remington barrels? Camo or black matte?

Factory Remington/matte black.  I thought I had saved the box but did not.  I cannot remember the part number.  The one I ordered came with a turkey choke.

I didn't like taking the sights off the vent rib every year when my son would quail hunt with me then putting them back on and patterning again.  The barrel is a nice addition if you're trying to make one of the 870 youths a dedicated turkey gun.  I wasn't interested in red dot or a scope.  If I run across the part number of the one I ordered, I'll put it here.  The ones I'm seeing on gunbroker don't show a turkey choke in the picture, but do state that they're RemChoke.

I bought one for my daughter around 2004 I think. She still has it. Daddy gets to hunt with it every now and then. I didn't know they were rare.

Also the sps-t is basically a Wingmaster with a 21" rifle sighted barell camo dipped. Remington sells the rifle sighted 21" factory barells online. No need to spend all that time and or money for the same thing. As for as the "Special purpose" or "quality " of the old school guns everyone talks about....I've said it before Wingmaster a 1950 Wingmaster 1990 or 2018 a Wingmaster 870 will be the same quality. Now go dirt cheap an buy an Express an you'll have plenty to complain about on various forums.

The older Express models were fine I had one when they first came out way back an the only difference was the birch wood stock instead of walnut an the Matt finish. The recent Express models have got a lot of complaints about rough actions, and barells that shoot a foot low and left using the bead site etc. non of these complaints have been directed to the Wingmaster new or old

Do you or someone you know have a new Wingmaster and have had problems with it? Or you just running off at the mouth? Very few part time turkey hunters will pay 700$ for a shotgun when they can buy an Express for less than 300$ I doubt you'd know the difference anyway. Anybody that starts a thread asking what Gobblers and hens look like doesn't know enough to have an opinion. Used to be when someone was new or uneducated in a subject, hunting, fishing etc. he kept his mouth shut when other more experienced people were talking, it was how they learned. Nowadays everyone is an expert in there own mind and basically try to copy whoever is there youtube hero at the time. You can watch all the turkey tours and projects you want and buy the same exact water bladder or camo outfit as your hero but that won't make you a turkey hunter. If you can't tell the difference between hens and jakes you need not worry about Wingmaster quality at this time you got other things to be concerned about lol.

Lol I don't what the heck your talking about knowing the difference between hens and gobblers. Or if your directing that at me. It sounds like you didn't get what you wanted for Christmas buddy. That was a jerk response. I do know the difference between turkey sexes and wing masters and express 870's. I have had problems out of my 870 express magnum from around 2001. I also have heard horror stories from the people who worked at the Remington plant in Huntsville. I also do love the turkey tour videos from Dave and the hunting public guys.  Merry Christmas . Back to the original post topic that does look like a sweet shotgun.

Just exactly what I said you got a cheap Express and are basing your opinions about Wingmasters from some disgruntled ex Remington employee, he was probably working on the Express Models and couldn't keep up. I don't ask for or recieve Christmas presents because I'm a grown up and know that gifts aren't the reason for the holiday and we only give out gifts to little kids.
What the heck am I talking about? You tell me you posted the question.
Hopefully you can understand this post or maybe I should put it in a YouTube video for you to comprehend. If you don't know what your talking about (and you obviously don't) it's best to shut up

Yes I was asking about poults in the summer time.  Not the difference between hens and gobblers.  I don't know why your being such a jack wagon but I'm not going to argue with you anymore or distract from the point of this thread.

You're the one running your mouth about what I said about the new Wingmasters.
And October is not the summer and you can't tell the difference between jakes and hens lol.Its not really an argument just you saying stupid stuff an me laughing about it.  So you can shut  up now hurt feelings and all
