All things are not always equal. However, in consideration of most products, if quality is equal do you normally purchase products built in the USA as compared to foreign built products even if pricing is higher, but in a reasonable range? I'm sure it can be subjective to the product being purchased.
I have been paying attention to this lately and do my best to buy made in the USA product when ever possible. :smiley-patriotic-flagwaver-an
I buy American most of the time but..... My two Benelli's are made in Italy, my Browning 10ga BPS Stalker is made in Japan, My 70's vintage Ithaca LSA 55 Turkey Gun 222/12Ga. is made in Finland. My Rem. 870SM is made in America. I also drive Jeep's which I believe are still made in the USA. ;D
If the VIN # on your vehicle begins with a 1 then it is assembled in the USA. 2 is Canada and 3 is Mexico. Notice I said assembled not made.
I try to buy American made products whenever I can. Sometimes they are hard to find but they are out there. :smiley-patriotic-flagwaver-an
My American Chevy was assembled in Canada. My friends Hyundai was made in Alabama. Go figure.
The thing that scares me is the paints, dyes and what not. Im still reading where soemthing or other turned out to be toxic containing, lead or there are other substances, we here in the USA had several dogs and cats die due to what they were using, the animals kidneys were shutting down, so having said that, I dont want my grandchildren sticking their stuff in their mouths, its just not safe, food for thought, your wearing a camo t shirt or whatever made in China and your workking up a sweat hunting, whats coming off those dyes, inks? I think they have been clamped down on, but not hard enough regulated yet. These are my wifes and I opinions only.
I spent a $100 more on American made tires. Got a better tire I think, but being made in America played into the decision.
I try to look for the label when possible.
If possible I buy stuff thats made in the USA :smiley-patriotic-flagwaver-an
It matters very much hope more folks start looking for the MADE IN THE USA label.. :icon_thumright:
I have one to share you guys will get a kick out of, I went on ebay, and priced having 1000 clothing labels made for our gear. I wanted Made in the USA on my tag, well come to find out these were made in china and they wouldnt print that on my label, LOL, hows that one.
I play golf, and I was interested in seeing what clubs are actually made here in USA. Comes to find out, the only brand that is 100% American manufactured and assembled is Ping.
I will be buying Ping.
I need to do a better job making sure that I buy American.
I now go out of my way to buy American as it helps keep jobs here not in Canada, Mexico and China. NAFTA means squat to me also.
I'm trying to do better with that but the selection is still very limited with alot of items. I hope and pray that the tide will turn with this.
I watch and buy MADE IN AMERICA.
I do the best that I can. Some things just can't be bought that are american made. i.e. televisions, most electronics, watches, etc. Do the best that you can do..
Yes!
Absolutely YES!! Very important for me...keep those dollars in America!! It's costing more for production in some of those other places and I think prices will soon reflect that. Not to mention the non-regulation...good products are safe products, not products that were made getting around regulations....just my 2 cents
I dont usually go out of my way and pay more for products just because it is made in the US unless they have a reputation of being a quality trustworthy product. When I find a good USA product I stand by it and am more than happy to support them.
Foreign production is just a part of todays world and Economics and we mostly did it to ourselfs. Even if the company is based and assembled in the US the parts are still mostly coming from a foreign provider.
I realize that we can not purchase Made in the USA 100% of the time due to some of the limited manufacturing of several products but it is good to see that many here are aware of our problem.
If this country does not fix the import/export problem that we have our children and grandchildren may be growing up in a very different environment!
Let me give you a perfect example of something that I brought forward on another turkey hunting/call maker/ collector site recently.
DSD Jake decoy - Made in USA
Dakota decoys "New" Jake which they named "Best turkey decoy" Made in China
Which one will you choose?
The second problem this country must address for our economy to turn is our illegal immigration and rights movement. It seems rather than making a new citizen learn to speak english before coming a citizen we are instead getting used to pushing 1 for english, 2 for espanuol.
Is there a country that you know of that says press 2 for english if you can't speak our language?
Keep my cash inside the US whenever possible.
Buy American made
try finding camo made in the U.S.A., almost impossible. i try but it is difficult.

Same here.
I do what I can to keep american workers with a job.
About 3 months ago I had to purchase some tools for my company truck & new machine. I work for a tax based company and I run a floating excavator. The machine is a Case 130 trackhoe (made in Japan) on a set of pontoons (made in Thibadeaux, La). So I figured the people that pay my salary work in the USA so every tool I bought was made in the USA......prolly spent about a $150 more but the quality is there! God Bless The USA! :smiley-patriotic-flagwaver-an

Ditto , mostly because even if the price is skewed I know my made in USA stuff will hold up better than China, I will pay alot more for tools made in USA because the chinese stuff is terrible
I try to buy American made whenever possible, and I try to stock my store with as many American made products as possible.
I try to buy American when possible, even those things that are maade somewhere else but assembled in USA,
No self respecting outdoorsman would purchase a Chinese made product if an American made product were available!
I have a lawn mowing business, and frequent a forum for those in the green industries. Most commercial mowers, and, for that matter, most residential, are made in the USA. Many commercial zero turns are upwards of $10,000, with even the less expensive models averaging around seven grand or more. Not surprisingly, Chinese made clones are starting to appear on the market, and probably once a month, someone posts about the possibility of purchasing one of these mowers for substantially less money. I, and the overwhelming majority of the other members strongly campaign against it. Our manufacturing base is in the toilet, and I personally think we all should feel obligated to purchase domestically made products when we can.
Often, there is no choice, but sometimes there is. Last year, I was at Walmart picking up some new socks. Walmart changes brands on a regular basis, but I happened to buy Dickies. When I got home, I was surprised to find they are made in the USA. So, guess what brand socks I'll buy from now on? When given a choice, I think we should all buy American. Neill
Very Well Said! :smiley-patriotic-flagwaver-an
