Hey guys let's reminisce on the 2022 turkey season by sharing some of your favorite pictures. But....make it a picture without a turkey in it. Just a landscape, or another critter, or plant, or selfie or whatever you think was a cool picture. If it has a story you can tell that to.

Here's an old Summit stand I found towards the end of the season. I was exploring a new area and it was on the edge of private and public. I'd love to know how long it's been hanging here. It says Summit Specialties which I don't think is even the name of the company anymore.  Anyone have a guess how old it is?

It is. Hope you harvested and ate it. And now this ain't from turkey season but from yesterday. Want to talk about a haul. That's probably >$300 of mushrooms.

That's a nice harvest. I didn't harvest the chicken of the woods. The only mushrooms I've picked up are Morels but I always take pictures of mushrooms every year.

I chased turkeys in some breath taking scenery this last season, and got to see or find some pretty cool things along the way. Killing turkeys was only half the fun, slowing down and soaking up what God has created for us was something I truly focused on this year, and he blessed me beyond words.

Cool pictures. I spent some time walking through some old small cemeteries this season. It was really sad seeing a few families who lost probably all their kids within five years or so.  I can't imagine what it must have been like to lose so many young kids to sickness.

It's Laetiporus cincinnatus, the white pored, "ground growing" chicken of the woods

  First time making it out to the Black Hills this year... fell in love with the place. Going back in a few weeks to get more familiar with the spots and can't wait to go back in 2023!

A couple from my spring.

Pre-season scouting revealed why this property had minimal birds on it. Saw him twice...NJ bobcat, looks well fed...

I recognize those waterfalls rutnstrut. We went there last year. I know fall creek falls and I think the first one is Burgess creek falls. Really pretty places.

Not a great quality pic..........taken with my cell phone through my binos at about 600 yards.  But the biggest black dot in the field got to wear my first tag the next morning on our season opener.

First year I have been able to get good pictures of turkey and deer. I chased the bronze one all season, hope he is there in the Spring, can't hunt the land in the Fall. Nice pictures everyone.

Very nice set up springtime-overland, I like it.

I've seen "Gobblenut"  use a hammock like that to reserve first place at the gate, of course that's all he had left after they burnt up his truck

Summer is my least favorite time of year, thank goodness fall is so close. Those spring time pics....they are awesome, my time of the year. I need to slow down and enjoy a lot more!

I have hunted the same areas forever it seems, this year I only made one trip out of normal grounds. I take almost 0 pictures of my home area which is sad. It has a lot to offer and is beautiful in it's own right. This thread shows me to do better, and I will.

This picture is from the evening before the first day of WV season. Due to weather I split, I went to KY to hunt on a friend's 40 acres.

He has a nice property and cabin that I hunted and stayed in for 3 days and really enjoyed my time there. Very peacefull! No turkeys were harmed on this trip.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220819/6caf29ce120e115fb8b70586cdc87e56.jpg)

Here's some pics from my favorite hunt this year. I took my 8yr old son out on the youth hunt. We camped out in the truck, grilled burgers, played some board games and got to hear a good bit of gobbling. It was a lot of fun. Nice getting out there with those young ones. I truly hoped my nephews would get into turkey hunting but they have no interest in hunting whatsoever so no memories to be made there. Had some fun taking friends kids out years ago.

That is south FL and I really enjoy hunting turkeys there. The Peace River is a great spot to search for fossils, just have to keep an eye out for the gators.
I've found thousands of fossilized shark teeth including bigger ones like Megalodons, but that is a rare for the area Great White tooth in great condition for
being millions of years old. Thanks.

Thanks, I literally see thousands of them every season, usually I have single days where I probably see that many. Most are more orangish but occasionally you encounter one that red

I paused while walking up a creek bed because I thought I heard a gobble. I guess I didn't really hear a gobble but when I looked down to take my next step this arrow head was laying right on top of the gravel bar. I'm always keeping an eye out for these but I would have likely missed it if it wasn't for that phantom gobble.

Nice looking wildflowers, I took pictures of some myself but had a problem with the computer losing thousands of pictures or I would share as well. Yours turned out better though, I had on the telephoto lens and they were too close.
