Title says it all. Saved wing bones and wouldn't mind having a call crafted out of them. Probably just gonna sit on a shelf but I'd like it to function well enough anyway.

10 Gauge Turkey Guns / Re: NEF 10 gauge setup
« Last post by Tom007 on Today at 06:36:57 PM »
If any of you guys know where a fella can find some federal 10 gauge hulls, let me know. I'm gonna try out the 2.5 oz and maybe the 2.75 oz loads in it. May even try the 3 oz but we will see.

Put a Limbsaver recoil pad on first thing, lord knows you’ll need it!

You haven't asked the important question on this day and age. What do said "gobblers" identify as?

I have taken a few new turkey hunters and they now enjoy that same passion in chasing turkeys..

I have taken many new”hunters because I just wanted to spend a quite spring morning with them.  I have never taken one that I suspected might become a turkey hunter.  It grates to take someone who a year or so later is found hunting your spot without your knowledge.

It all depends on your judgement in my opinion... But do whatever you want in taking others

Pot Calls Forum / Re: Striker suggestions

There are undoubtedly some great strikers out there. One I have used, and I just found a similar one-if not the same, is a Tylersburg Yelper Plexiglass striker. It's plexi so will run in the wet weather and IMO, runs extremely well wet or dry. It's one of my go-to strikers.

$14 on the bay right now.

Sounds like you have a real dominant gobbler around somewhere keeping the flock in check

Yea, he’s gonna be a tough one to get….. :fud: :OGani:

Trumpets / Wingbones Forum / Re: 2024 Trumpet Kill Thread
« Last post by Sixes on Today at 06:26:59 PM »
Got this pic from one of my cousins this morning. Good to see the guys in their mid 20s out hunting. His second trumpet bird of the season.

He captioned the text "It runs in our blood!"

I let him borrow that Greg Gwaltney and another one about 3-4 years ago to try out and learn on and he has done well with them. I do remind him sometimes who actually owns them :toothy9:
Dang man, I just had to look back and see when I made this trumpet......it was one of my early ones that is for sure(~5 1/2 years ago), pretty cool to see it helping someone kill a bird.

He wears it with pride, just like it's his....  I guess at this point it probably is..

He sent me this pic from this morning with his newborn daughter and his turkey.

He has killed several birds with your trumpets
