Raspy Surface?

Is there a general consensus as to the surface that produces the raspiest call? Slate, glass, aluminum, etc. etc? Is it more surface/soundboard or striker dependent? Any particular pot(s) anybody`s found to be particularly so? Thanks all !

I find the Anodized Aluminums are raspy. In fact most of the metal surfaces give a bit more rasp. Glass and Crystal also can produce a Raspier tone....

I believe most any pot can get as raspy as you want depending on how you hold the striker and how deep you drop into the call. That being said , one of the most nasty rasp pots That I have played were the Jimmy Schaffer Mad Hen. It just had pure rasp built into that call. Glass gets my vote for the most raspy if I had to choose.
