I'm fortunate to have farm land to hunt directly across the street from my home. So today I get out of my car from running an errand and I hear some turkey sounds coming from a small woodlot on this property. So I figure I should gear up and go see if I can spot some birds for a sit down later in the day. It's around 12.15. As I'm walking towards this woodlot I hear a gobble. A few more steps and I hear another gobble. Like only 80 to 100 yrds from me. So I grab some cover, sit down and give a few soft yelps on a glass pot call. Boom. Instant gobble reply.  So I yelp a few more times and he answers again. I stay silent for a couple minutes and he gobbles again. So I answer him and he hits right back at me. And he's closing the distance. A few minutes and I see him. He steps out of the woodlot and is looking across 60 yrds of open field for the hen he had heard. I give a real soft yelp on a mouth call and he fans out and gobbles more. He struts and gobbles and gives me a real nice show. And now slowly he feeds and displays his way across this open ground towards where I'm sitting. When he gets within range I raise and fire. Down he goes! 20 lbs. 8 inch beard, 1 inch spurs. Winchester SXP 20 gauge, Federal heavyweight TSS #7 through a Carlson's Longbeard choke tube. This entire hunt only took half an hour from the time I walked out of my yard till I returned with my bird. Some times it's all about luck.

I don't have any problem with it. Don't notice it being too hard. Never measured it though.
