Spring Creek Calls

Weather radar says we have a couple hour break in the rain. Slipped out to my deer shack behind the house. First series of calls with the box pulled a gobble from a bird about as far as I can hear one. A few calls and a half hour later he's gobbling on the high point of my woods, directly above me. A few soft yelps on my ghost cut diaphragm from Martin  Calls and he's creeping down the trail towards my lone hen decoy. The #9 TSS stopped him just 6' from the decoy. 20lbs, 9" beard and 3/4" spurs definitely a 2 year old.

You mean...  You can still hunt turkeys whilst it is raining???

Great job on a nice bird!
Did I do that?

Congrats. I took note that you enforced the socially distancing standard when you allowed him 6' from the decoy before the hammer was dropped.

Awesome bird and good job!

A quality paddle caller will most run itself.  It just needs someone to carry it around the woods. Yoder409
