Does anyone have a red dot mounted on a .410 Mossberg 500? If so, what brand and how did you mount it? Thanks!

I don't have that particular gun but I'd be surprised if the Burris fastfire 3 and a sumtoy mount wasn't the answe

Thanks. I did some research. Gonna go with a Meadow Creek base which will take either a Burris Fastfire III or Vortex Venom. I've never used a red dot or scope. Have always used TRUGLO sights and have killed gobblers with my .410 and 28, but feel a red dot with the .410 would be a more conservative approach. I still also hunt with my 12, but TSS has really expanded the options.

Any thoughts on Burris Fastfire III vs Vortex Venom by anyone who has used these products?

I use a burris ff3 and I don't think there is anything better on th e market

Just mounted meadow creek rib mount and Burris Fastfire 3 on my 870. Love it, fantastic set up...

Sorry, here is the Burris mounted on my 870. Thanks

Just read an interesting article for those that are contemplating a red dot.

Looks like both are nice products.

Only big difference between the two is the glass is slightly larger on the venom. Either  one will be a good option. I am using the venom. Have several friends that use each and all are happy. In the picture below I mounted mine 2 cents forward of receiver.

I ordered the Vortex Venom from Cabelas. It's on backorder, but no rush as it's all over down here. Look forward to patterning this Mossberg .410 with a Jebs choke and have some Apex 9.5 and Nitro 9x10 to see what they do. I have a Remington 1100 .410 with a Sumtoy choke that I've killed 2 gobblers with that did not like the Browning and definitely didn't like Federal #9 TSS. I need another gun like I need to move to China. It's a sickness!!

Thanks for the above photo! If it's good enough for a Marine, it's definitely good enough for me. My hunting buddy died last year. He was a retired Marine Sgt. Major with 24 yrs active duty including 3 tours in Viet Nam. My son wore the Eagle/Globe/ and Anchor too. I have total respect for Marines!

I used my Remington for the first time this am with the Burris Fastfire 3. I love it. What makes it different from my Nikon Spur is it has an automatic setting that adjusts the dot light according to the light conditions you are in. It worked fantastic, adjusted brighter as the sun came up. Excellent feature.
