I'm going to a place where gobblers are known to be but are hunted hard. So please if you have any tips or strategies let me know. I've heard bird everytime I've beento this spot but can rarely get them to work in for me. Please someone help me out.

Get in early. Let them gobble on their own. Get close. Only calling while they're on the roost is a wing flydown. Once he hits the ground only soft clucks and purrs and real soft 2 note yelps. Then scratch in the leaves a little. Good luck,

Thanks for the help but does it make a difference if it is raining? Because I have rain in the forecast for tomorrow and was wondering if it will make the turkeys act different.

Scout. Know where they want to go, get in front of them and call conservatively.
