Normally I've been carrying an alpz lounger style chair, but I'm considering leaving it at home and using a nice seat cushion instead. Mainly because I find myself walking much longer distances this year to get on a workable bird, and being able to just flip up the seat and go is much faster when moving on a bird. I hunted without my chair the other day, and I forgot how convenient it is to not have to carry the thing and set up much quicker. I've been looking at the hunt comfort fatboy cushion. Any suggestions like that?

Great thread. We all look for the best way to carry our equipment, and seat capability. I use a vest sometimes, but when it gets warmer, and I run and gun, I finally found my answer. This is the Cabelas 1/2 Turkey vest with their patented speed seat. This set up is perfect for running and gunning. The seat is fantastic, stays out of your way at all times. It is very comfortable for long sits. This waist type set up has just enough pockets for the run and gunner. Cabelas does not make it any more but if you look hard enough, you can come across one. Has a bit of back support too. Be safe...

I've got a hunt comfort Fatboy, and it is the most comfortable cushion that I have ever used. My back isn't the best, and this pad helps immensely. Yes, it's a little pricy for just a cushion, but once I felt the comfort it provided, it was worth it. I bought it earlier this year when Amazon was running a special on them. If I misplaced it, or something happened to it, I'd gladly pay full price.

Agreed.
That seat cushion is king, with its gel, it can't be  beat.
If it can, I'd love to know what that product is!!!!

I've got a cheap inflatable seat that does well enough. Can't recall the make or model so sorry for that. It's nice enough though for RnG hunting. For me that is. Typically though, I'll use a primos freaky seat if I'm doing that kinda stuff. Just grab it and go. Calls are in it. No need for decoys when hunting that way. Sadly, the tracks of land I hunt these days are much smaller so...I carry a lounger a lot of times. Just need to figure out a new way to carry it. The straps on the bags they provide don't offer enough length to carry comfortably. But that cheap inflatable pad is more than enough. I use it in deer season too. I like it enough.

Another vote for the Hunt Comfort Fatboy

From a fatboy that uses a Fatboy, I can't say enough good things about them.
