Does it have that odd hollow sound you get if a branch his it in the woods if you know what I mean? Thanks.its boyds laminate stock....nah man no sound out all. its rather dense, not noisy at all that ive noticed. Its not light though, it will increase the weight of your gun slightly.

Quote from: dzsmith on April 12, 2020, 10:34:56 PMwell its physically more mass for one than a traditional cheap express wood stock that it came with so its heavier. However, I went from a 28" barrel with the original stock to a 21" barrel with the boyds. So the total weight of my setup is about the same as it was before. Its not overbearing by any means IMO. However...this is the only turkey gun I have besides a clone of it that I put together. so I don't really have anything to compare it to. As a kid I hunted with my dads 870 so Its about all I know, im used to it. I don't use a sling or anything ...always carried it by hand.

I always carried my 11-87 by hand through the woods by hand as well (Though my friends always said it was heavy it was not to me) but I have had 3 shoulder surgeries and in one of them they removed half of the bicep muscle so I can't carry it that way anymore so I do worry about that part of it now.

I don't know how light the shurshot pistol grip is but I cant imagine it being too heavy
