What plant is this?

Do any of you know what kind of plant this is? It's blooming all over in North Alabama and it's growing into the tree tops.

Yep - wisteria.  Beautiful.  Smells awesome too.  Another reason to not get caught up in the kill and enjoy all the great things  the Spring woods has to offer!

Wisteria is correct!!

Very invasive and fast growing vines.  If not controlled, it will engulf anything that it climbs up.  The vines will normally over take the host and kill it.

Cool. Thanks guys. I'll look that up and learn about it. It definitely has a unique odor.  I'm always noticing different plants in the woods. Maybe we should start a plant id thread for those who are interested.
