Pappy Ironwood Tube Call- Soundfile

Pappy made me this one-off tube call a few years ago, I never even used the thing. I saw the tube sitting in my call case and figured I would give it a whirl. Dang, these things are fun, need some improvement for sure, but I want to hunt it now. Made this little recording as I was curious what it would sound like.

I think you could call one in with that, no problem. A little deep, kinda like a jake yelp to me but hens also have deeper tones sometimes. Jake yelps have helped a lot of hunters get one.

Best of luck to you, I am not feeling confident enough to take mine out, I wish my hands would let me get the latex on the one I have from Pappy but they just do not want to do it.

Yellow latex that I use for mouth calls, it is labeled as .004.....Would that be odd for a tube call?

No brass insert, solid wood..... this one will play super soft
