In about 12 hours I'll be waking up to opening morning. Unfortunately I'm not even hunting for myself, taking my best friend who's never killed a gobbler with a shotgun and has been begging me to call one for him. I have to think quite a lot of a man to give up my opening day, but so be it. I believe I've got one pinned down for him, and pretty sure we have a good shot at killing him. Time will tell. To paraphrase Tom Kelley, in the morning I'll step out of my truck into those dark woods, and take a deep breath. Close my eyes and say a prayer of thanks. I've lived to see it, one more time.
