Cowboy

I was driving east on US 50 and was looking in the woods. I saw a big doe that had tried to jump the boundary fence and became caught in the top wire. Luckily the place I was delivering to sold wire cutters. I bought a pair a d drove back by there. She was still very lively but had dislocated the hip unfortunately.  Other 3 legs were good. I cut the wire and a least gave her a chance because the alternative sucked. I watched a buck once that had his leg broken and dangling chase a doe all over a field so maybe this one will survive.

That's a good thing , you did ..

For sure! Hopefully she will get the let working!

Beards and Hooks

Good thing for sure, hopefully she makes it.

Good on you. Hunters are not just killers but the best advocate and conservatives of wild animals. You showed that today.

You gave her a better chance at living than what she had.  :icon_thumright:

Well said

Good job, hope she makes it. Had two instances where found deer in a fence, saved one , the second called the Warden and he said she would not make it so he put her down,

Well done! I've found deer to be very resilient. I bet she makes it!

Well done, hate to see these kinds of things but you gave her the best chance she has.

Deer are tough critters. If infection doesn't set in she may make it. We had a 3 legged doe who dropped twins several years in a row.
