Weatherby SA-459 Turkey
« on: March 03, 2020, 07:16:38 PM »
I think I am ready for the season. I still would not mind trying a different choke and shells but this will be hard to let go. Using a Hevi-13 choke right now. Both shots were at 40 yards measured with a range finder.  The first pic is a 3" LB #6 and the second is a 3" Hevi-13 #7.

Well I screwed that all up somehow. The pics are sideways and smaller than I wanted...
I am getting too old for this new fangled interwebs thing!

Me old too. Just held my laptop sideways . The hevi looks real nice, i would hunt that.
The longbeards need an adjustment a bit.

Is this a new gun or new choke?  I just discovered this gun and am curious how you like it?

I honestly do not know how long the gun has been on the market but I have had it for 3 years maybe 4 years. I have had the choke 2 years I think. I like the gun. If I had one complaint it would be the trigger. It is heavy and just feels kind of odd. Maybe the angle that it breaks at or something. Its just different than others triggers I have used.
