Sorry, kinda like "It's Pat" from Saturday Night Live, you just don't know if you don't know.

Can't say enough good things about Kelly and her talent.  She's truly found her niche.

very nice, I thought Kelly just did the art work, whose boxes are they?

Austy

I have had the privilege to work with Kelly on a few projects of my own with some of my box calls.  She has done both wood burning and painted art for me and all of them were outstanding to say the least.  I can say first hand that the pictures never do any of the art on the calls any justice,  To truly appreciate her talent you need to have the call in hand so that you can really see her attention to detail.  To be able to talk with her and describe to her over the phone in a few conversations what you are looking for as far as the art on the call and then her being able to take that conversation and your idea of what you envision and her put that conversation to art and NAIL IT is amazing.
A few years back I had her do 2 calls for me for my elk hunting buddies.  I had the conversation with her about what I wanted on one of the sides of the box call and this is what I described to her.  2 bow hunters among some juniper trees in some open western country who had killed a bull the day before.  The next day chasing another bull in the same area they passed by the remains of the carcass and chomping away at the remains was a huge black bear.  Well that bear as a result was also harvested by the same fella with my younger brother standing beside him as he made the shot.  When I got the call from Kelly what I described above to the tee was turned into art with the bear chewing away at the ribcage of the dead bull with the 2 hunters in the background and in hand you can actually see that one of the 2 hunters is holding what appears to be a bow.  Kelly is an Amazing artist.

I love Kelly's work and appreciate her God given talent.  A few years back I had Mike Lapp make me a box call that I sent to Kelley to wood burn.  There is a fall scene and a spring scene and she nailed it 100%.  Ernie the ones she did for your in color are off the charts my friend! :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright:
