Well, it started out as simple recon. Daughter killed hers last weekend. I just wanted to see what was actually around. Took the gun along in case things got interesting. Watched this fat lady hit the field and was totally content just watching. Wind shifted and she got spooked. Ran to the woods edge then came back. Caught my wind again and got curious. Like real curious. To the point that she bee lined to me from about 250 yards to 60. She was doing that whole head bobbing game they do when they realize somethings not right. Once she made out my outline, things really changed. 2 options: 1.) Let her get vocal and blow the field. 2.) Shoot her, put meat in the freezer and assure she's not an issue on the next trip. You can guess the rest. 162 gr Hornady eld-x at about 3400 FPS. Expected to be pulling bullet frags throughout the carcass. Was actually quite happy the bullet performed the way it did. Eliminated what could've been a pile of wasted meat.
