I just finished reading Dirt Roads And Dogwoods By Andy Johnson which is his second book, his first being Somewhere Along The Way. Have to say I have enjoyed this book, it has been a good read with some good, some fun and some serious short stories.

I really enjoyed the chapter "Lost and Broken" it starts talking about the one call or calls we have all had that we never leave the house without and then goes somewhere else in the last few paragraphs and I really liked the way he worked it into the end of that short story.

Most of his stories are set in Alabama, a state I have been through and thought was rather pretty.

If you are looking for a book to read I would suggest this one, but would suggest his first book just a tad more.

Now I have to decide to either start Ctrize's book or Old Pro Turkey Hunter that is waiting for me at the post office. Hard choice, I have been hearing about Old Pro Turkey Hunter since I got to this site a year and 8 months ago but Ctrize is somebody I have met here. Decisions, decisions.....

Very easy decision, Old Pro.

Well I think I am going to go two ways, in the house I will be reading Ctrize's book, but we will be out trapping all this month starting next weekend and the copy I bought of Old Pro is not in great condition so I will take it with me for times I remain in the truck.

I still have Bad Birds by Jim Spencer and Lovett Williams The Book of the Wild Turkey to finish as well but don't think I want to take either of those into the truck as they will get beat up.
