Life is Good!!

T'was a magical morning in western PA.  Set up with 100 yds of a mouthy gobbler this morning.  Tree called once, he gobbled a lot, then flew down at 6:05.  As he hit the ground I yelped at him and he was definitely on his way.  At 6:10 my paw was standing on him. 
    Later,  I went to another spot and found a lonely tom.  When  I called to him, I knew from the reaction time of his gobble that he was gonna come in.  At 8:10 I was standing over him.  Was pleasantly surprised to see he wore 1.5" curvy hooks.  Finally gonna get the dead mount I've been wanting for years!!
Dad's bird had 1 1/4 spurs.  I truly appreciate EVERY aspect of this wonderful sport.  I AM THANKFUL!!
