  Burrned my third Illinois tag today.  I had several good chances, two bad mistakes.  Tried some new products, hunted a new area.  No ticks or chiggers - huray for permethrin   Had a great time, had a frustrating time.  When's the draw dates for 2012?

Seems to me like you quit a couple of days to soon.        Beautiful weather to be sittin against a tree this morning.   Who knows what other good chances you might have had to screw-up.

That's hunting for ya.   You can apply on-line or via mail for the fall Turkey season in IL (October) now. I am gonna try to pull a tag if I don't pull a Deer tag.
