I have a harder time remembering which strikers go with which calls, lol!!!
Me to I mix and match all the time

I am with you guys it's hard to keep em matched but it's rare when I when I wind up using the striker that came with the call only exception to that are the platz and corders I have
I rarely use strikers that come with the calls either, when I hunt I carry something that plays wet a dymond wood 2 pc usually the black and green peg with a hickory top. I have several of these from different makers and they are all pretty good. And the 3 rd is usually a nicer 1 pc in Osage, bloodwood, or hickory.

At home in my filing cabinet I have a couple of the ankle height sports socks stuffed full of strikers it keeps them in one place at least and they don't really bang around.JLH on here sells strikers that come in a nice plastic tube that you can tighten down to keep them from rattling around, they are pretty nice and I plan on carrying one to the woods this fall

When you get a new call you always think you will remember all the details and a month later its "what was that again".  Great idea to take pictures and keep notes about the call, woods and match striker.  I do like trying a striker from one maker on other pots, sometimes you find a new killer combo.  If you do, again worth making a note.

Great idea I forget what some are! I like how you can tighten them down for no rattle. And you do build a great striker also

He makes nice ones.

misfire

Its easy for me most of the time, as I am making the striker I write the wood on it before putting the finish on. I did make a few out of an unknown wood, and just wrote "heckifino" on it. Not sure who got those ;D

I have quite a few that are from numerous makes that are heckifinos..
Wish I would have kept track in the beginning. Never thought I'd get this out of control.. ;D
