You sure it wasn't reluctant to commit and die because of the talking instead of the decoy?

I don't think the bird could hear me, the talking was just me talking to myself, don't tell my shrink  , on a lav mic. I turned the mic up so you could hear it, but you can't even hear me on my shotgun mic sitting right by my head.
