Punched my 3rd tag this morning here in VA. Bird never gobbled in the tree but answered my first set of calls as I topped a ridge. Once set up I could tell he was coming. Made one last call to see where he was and he gobbled on the back side of the ridge I was on. I threw one more call over my left shoulder and he answered again. Finally I see him in full strut cresting the ridge coming from my right to left, bird never broke strut and headed up over the ridge. As he passed by me at 25 yards I let the 20 guage and TSS 9's eat. He never flopped and I was done at 6:50. So I'll be on cameraman duties for the rest of the season. On to New Mexico in 2 weeks to chase some mountain Merriams and wounded warrior hunts this coming weekend
