Quote from: DBell on April 05, 2019, 04:50:14 PMFound a good deal on some mag blends and figured I'd try them out. Not the best numbers but these shot perfect POA/POI and are very even. I only took one shot, so maybe if I took a few more I'd see a higher average in the 10 ring. It was 45 and sunny today. I will primarily be shooting fed grand slam but I want to also find a load (lead or htl) that can be pushed to 40 yards if the setup calls for it. The Longbeards put up better numbers but they don't shoot POI and are unforgiving in close with only a bead. I'd like to give the hevi 7s another try in this setup but they aren't legal to hunt with here. Here's the 40 yard mag blend (10" & 20")I'm kinda wondering where all the shot went. The pattern doesn't look blown at all. I counted 236 total hits on the 2 ft x 3 ft target. The .565 trulock shot the hevi 6s better than then the .550 SSX, so I can only imagine it would should the mag blends better. HmmmSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Quote from: ahfox16 on April 06, 2019, 05:53:30 PMI personally wouldn't hunt with 60 pellets in a 10" circle at 40 yards. I'd call that probably a 35 yard gun. My 2 cents it to try Sumtoy in .562. That's what i shoot out of my Benelli Nova.

Quote from: DBell on April 11, 2019, 02:23:03 PMHere's a couple more 40 yard shots from today. 45 degrees and sunny. Same gun and choke setup. I hit low on both shots. The bead on this gun is raised up on a pedestal and I think if I tuck the bead too far down when I'm aiming, I tend to hit low. I think I need to have most of the pedestal showing in my sight picture. Anyone else with a raised bead find this to be the case also?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
