Good for a laugh or two...

Just thought I would share some pictures of a hen that felt the need to perch on my truck while at the neighbors a few weeks ago. After ringing the doorbell she came out from behind the porch in a dead sprint...and decided my truck was the safest place to be. We talked for a while and couldn't stop laughing just watching her hang out on the chevy tree.

My acreage butts up to a larger section of contiguous woods that runs almost a quarter mile, and while I've seen plenty of deer/geese/wood ducks this is the first turkey I've seen in the two years we've lived there. It would be my hope that there would be others, but I've never heard a gobble, or seen any other sign of turkey in that time...could this be a lone hen?

Good luck to everyone heading out this year!

You must have skills, just call them to the truck. ;D

Nice! I'm going to have to pick up a black Z71 before the fall season.

Maybe she was seeing her reflection and trying to figure out what it is.
