M2 American Choke/load help
« on: March 11, 2019, 02:35:24 PM »
All,

I am helping a friend find a choke for his new M2 American.

I plan on having him shoot Longbeard #5.

Any one run this shell have a recommendation (or if you don’t recommend) a particular choke?

He will not be shooting past 40yards.

Thanks

Rick

I have an Undertaker .685 in my M2 compact 24", should work fine out to 40 yards.

If he's shooting Longbeards and truly keeping it under 40 save the money and shoot the factory full and spend the$50 on a good set of Tru glo pro gobble dots

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.

I'm shooting a M2 American with a 26" bbl. the 665 Sumtoy is what I'm shooting Nitro T316 and 3" 1 7/8oz #5 Longbeards through it.

These are patterns from 40 yards.
