Uploading videos to YouTube

I have gotten into merging some of my video clips together in Camtasia.  However when I want to download the finished product to my YouTube page, it says that the file is too large.  What am I doing wrong?  Or what do I need to do may be a better way of asking the same question.

I'm trying to remember this correctly......

When I tried to upload a video over 15 minutes or something it said the same thing but then said something to the extent of having to confirm your YouTube channel??? It should give you instructions on how to do so. Orrrrr, shorten your video hahaha
