What do ya'll use for a patterning target and Where'd ya get it?

Most any ole road sign will do. 

Seriously, 2'x3' sheets of poster paper ($0.99 ea. Wal-mart). I staple them to poster board or backing that will withstand a few dozen shots. Draw a small circle in center or apply a sticky dot

Have often also used the backside of cheap gift wrap.

Butcher paper. 36" wide rolls are usually around $50 but I've been using the same roll for going on 10 years and have over half left.

The contractor paper works good and it's cheap. It's 3' by 400' for around $12-13

I use a 4'x4' piece cardboard with 3'x3' piece of contractor paper pinned to with thumb tacks....small nails would work also. A person can get a lot of patterning done on just one piece of cardboard. I get it from the local grocery store. It comes on a lot of their pallets. Can also get it at an appliance store.

I use a wooden pallet for backing with a big piece of red rosin paper. You can get a roll of the stuff that'll last you quite a while from a paint store or home improvement store for about 10 or so bucks.  The pallet usually gets ate up and I just replace it as need be.

I have hundreds of sheets of 24" x 30" printer paper that is now obsolete. I just draw a small circle and make sure the pattern is centered anymore

Find a furniture store and get their large cardboard boxes from them.

I use old election signs to hold my targets.  I teach school so I use old poster board or these big sheet of paper people are going to throw out.

i buy cheap gift wrappng paper and use the backside of it. Sometimes it's white on back but sometimes it's got a grid on it. The grid is kinda nice because it makes for easy measuring if you have to do any of that.
