Just hunt with trumpets an wing bones? Really considering it  this year. Thinking my clucks an yelps are good enough to get it done so will see.

As the old axiom goes, 'beware of the man with one gun, he knows how to use it.' You idea is probably best way to master the call in all situations.
A quality paddle caller will most run itself.  It just needs someone to carry it around the woods. Yoder409
Over time...they come to learn how little air a good yelper actually requires. ChesterCopperpot

Last year I only used a trumpet(90%) and scratch box, I definitely got better and had lots of gobblers on public land responding to the trumpet. Trumpets only for me this year, going to be fun.

I am by no means a master at the trumpet but with a trumpet/wingbone and diaphram call i feel perfectly comfortable in the woods.

Same, not sure I could ever not bring a mouth call, but I used a trumpet 90% of the time last season. And I'm not a great trumpet caller.

There's just something about a trumpet that turkeys like, plain and simple.

Always have em around my neck and in the fall they are deadly.  On a bad day in the woods when no other caller is working a wingbone or trumpet can turn a bad day into a good one.

Never go in the turkey woods without one and last year I hunted 95% of the time with nothing but a trumpet and/or a wing bone.  I'm not that good with one either but good enough to bring one in gun range once and a while, i.e. The proverbial " Blind Squirrel"

I agree, but will add wingbones and cane yelpers to that as well. I go into the woods ready for anything, but when a yelper is what that bird wants to hear, the odds of killing that bird go way up, IMHO.

I'll fully agree with EZ .if he likes a wingbone you'll probably see that bird .

I only use a trumpet and also have a scratch box along if needed. Once mastered I feel the trumpet is the most deadly call you can use.

You can do it Sbbow!!!! I had success last year and now have plenty of confidence in them. I will still have a box and pot with me but truthfully I would just rather call them in with a suction call than any other call. I will have the others with me but doubt I use them much. I do have some great box calls and pots but after last year with my wingbone and trumpet success it will be hard to reach for anything else.

I always carry one. Multiple days each season I will use a trumpet exclusively.
