I like layout of the Nomad vest but it needed a few modifications to me so I added a buckle instead of that crappy button and added some real padding to the seat pad where I can sit for hours now
I realize its not the prettiest job but it works and I used 30lb braid for thread so it's not going anywhere

I saw a post today that Bass Pro has this vest in stock and the button has been replaced on the new version of this vest.

Awesome, man!  I didn't know if your were driving a needle through the plastic casing part or not.  Mind telling us where you got the buckle and nylon from? The wife checked at Jo-Anne Fabrics today but all they had was thick black nylon and big buckles

Yes I did drive the needle through the plastic part, I figured it would make it that much stronger, and I just used a small set of pliers to push the needle through because its quite hard to push the needle through the plastic with your hands.
I used 30lb fishing braid for thread and the buckle  and strap actually came off of an old thermacell case holder
it was the perfect size and it matchd the vest perfect with that OD green color

Good mods guys. I would like to see the straps replaced to claws like the Dixon vests and stronger magnets individual striker holders  :happy0064:

Nice job. I have added a few thing to my vest. I used a leather sewing tool. It's fun , I added a buddy loc and it is really versatile. I also scalped pot call and box call pouches off old vest and customized.
